To recap some things we talked about at the parent meeting, there are certain protocols we have to follow when it comes to covid and possible exposure. If a child or coach gets tested and/or tests positive, we are responsible for contact tracing. Once we determine which child/coaches have been in contact, based on the CDC as well as the basketball association’s guidelines, we are required to reach out to the school nurse and give her that information. The nurse will contact the parents and let them know specifics regarding who needs to quarantine and for how long. This rule is in place because that quarantine carries over to the school as well as basketball. These are the rules we have to follow in every situation. After that, the specifics are determined on a case-by-case basis for numerous reasons. If we don’t follow these guidelines, we run the risk of having the entire PYBA program shut down. If you or your child are sick, have been tested, or are quarantining, please let us know so we can stay on top of things! We will not share any private information with any other parents!
